Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking an Assistant Colorist to support licensed colorists and rapidly learn the colorist role in our Hair Color Bar. You will assist with consultations, shampoos, styling, and product services while embracing guest interactions and a cooperative team environment.

This entry-level position can lead to promotion to Licensed Colorist within 3–9 months, with base hourly pay, commissions, and tips, offering a path to growth and a dynamic retail-salon setting.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• Entry level customer service or retail experience acceptable; beauty industry preferred.
• Effective communication and guest service skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed colorists and shift lead to deliver guest experience.
• Perform behind-the-chair services: shampooing, conditioning, styling, and add-on applications.
• Support sales goals through retail services and memberships.
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, and inventory in the Hair Color Bar.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures and learn color theory for advancement.
