Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking an Assistant Colorist for its Hair Color Bar in Phoenix, AZ. This entry-level role supports Licensed Colorists and a Shift Lead, learning services, color consultations, and products while aiming for promotion to Licensed Colorist within 3–9 months.

Compensation ranges from $24.15 to $25.15 per hour, with base pay, commissions, and tips; actual pay depends on performance, tenure, and chair time. Full or part-time availability is offered to fit business needs.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state in which you are applying.
• Entry level experience in any customer service or retail sales environment; salon or beauty industry experience preferred.
• Effective communication, strong problem solving and people skills, in a fast-paced retail or salon environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems
• Fluency in English

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and develop teamwork skills to provide a guest experience aligned with our values.
• Perform behind-the-chair services such as assisting in finishing services and shampooing and conditioning, styling, blowouts, and color-related services.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and other KPIs, including retail sales, services, memberships.
• Ensure Hair Color Bar meets company standards for cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and assets security.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, processes and procedures.
• Drive revenue through increasing the average service ticket and memberships/subscriptions.
• Take a proactive approach by learning to progress from Assistant Colorist to Licensed Colorist within 3–9 months.
• Colorist to Colorist training to grow your career within Madison Reed
