Madison Reed is hiring an Assistant Colorist for the Hair Color Bar in Phoenix. You will learn under Licensed Colorists and support guest experiences from consults to services, aiming for promotion within 3–9 months.

Compensation includes base hourly pay, commissions and tips, with a range stated for this location. You will perform shampooing, conditioning, styling and color-related services while maintaining cleanliness and inventory.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state of application.
• Entry level experience in customer service or retail; salon/beauty industry preferred.
• Effective communication, strong problem solving and people skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with company values.
• Perform behind-the-chair services including assisting in finishing, shampooing and conditioning, styling and blowouts.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and KPIs (retail, services, memberships).
• Ensure Hair Color Bar meets cleanliness, merchandising, inventory and asset protection standards.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, processes and procedures.
• Drive revenue by increasing average service ticket and memberships, subscriptions and home care sales.
• Support the Colorist in training to grow toward Licensed Colorist status.
