Job summary

Madison Reed Hair Color Bar is seeking an Assistant Colorist to support Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead, ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. You’ll learn services, help guests choose color, and execute tasks with precision as you train for promotion to Licensed Colorist.

You will gain hands-on experience in consultations, hair care products, shampooing, conditioning, and blowouts, while contributing to a busy, friendly salon environment in Phoenix.

Qualifications

• Licensed cosmetologist in the state you are applying.
• Entry-level experience in customer service or retail; salon or beauty industry background preferred.
• Strong communication and people skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable operating point-of-sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist finishing services, shampooing and conditioning, styling, blowouts, hot tool styling, treatments and toner applications per guest request.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and KPIs including retail, services, and memberships.
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, inventory and asset security of the Hair Color Bar.
• Adhere to Madison Reed policies, processes and procedures.
• Drive revenue by increasing average service ticket through add-ons and memberships.
• Assist Colorist in training to develop color theory and behind-the-chair application skills.
