Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Falls Church, VA is seeking an AMIT to provide leadership within the club and drive departmental performance. You will oversee departments, manage onboarding, and ensure policy execution while maintaining exceptional member service and GOLD standards.

The role requires a ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain) and leadership of cross‑functional teams. A forklift license may be needed; training is provided.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in retail store operations or management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a large team.
• Strong drive for results with a commitment to member service.
• Knowledge of store operations, merchandising, and front‑line processes.
• Experience supervising cross‑functional teams and driving results.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership for assigned stores and departments.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard team members to ensure capable staff.
• Oversee labor planning and scheduling aligned with budget targets.
• Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management to meet goals.
• Champion member experience standards (GAA and GOLD) across departments.
• Ensure operational readiness and safety compliance across club operations.
• Utilize BJ’s MY WORK system to execute daily tasks and initiatives.
• Lead talent development and training programs; operate forklifts if required.
