Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Seekonk, MA, seeks an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) to lead assigned departments, develop talent, and ensure GOLD standards are met. This role prepares individuals for future Assistant Club Manager positions across Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience, with a focus on policy execution, team leadership, and delivering consistent results.

You will recruit and onboard staff, manage labor planning, drive sales and inventory control, and uphold safety

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations.
ServSafe certification is required and must be maintained.
Forklift experience/certification may be required in some locations.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic department leadership in assigned departments (Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience).
Recruit, hire, and onboard team members to ensure confident and capable staff.
Oversee labor planning and scheduling to align with sales and budget targets.
Drive sales, inventory control, and shrink management to optimize performance.
Champion member experience standards (GAA, GOLD) across departments.
Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and company policies; lead audits and safety training.
