Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an AMIT to lead and develop club departments, ensuring standards, safety, and customer satisfaction. The role includes talent development, training, and daily operational oversight within the Florida club.

The AMIT will coordinate with the Club Manager, oversee onboarding and certification, and serve as MOD when needed to drive performance and guest experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations manager.
• Strong drive for results and solid work ethic.
• Must be able to lead and motivate a large team.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification.
• Forklift operator required.
• Open shift availability required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Word, MS Excel, Email) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Strategic Department Leadership: Oversee daily operations across assigned departments with accountability for results.
• Recruit, Hire, and Onboard Team Members: Manage hiring, onboarding, and certification for staff.
• Oversee Labor Planning and Scheduling: Create labor schedules aligned with trends and budgets.
• Drive Sales, Inventory Control, and Shrink Management: Ensure in-stock conditions and profitability.
• Champion Member Experience Standards: Enforce GAA, GOLD, and service standards across departments.
• Operate Equipment Safely: If assigned, operate forklifts following safety protocols.
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance to support leadership coverage.
