Planet Fitness in Cranston, RI is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee gym operations and deliver a welcoming Judgement Free Zone experience while driving club performance.

Full-time role, 40 hours/week with potential evenings, weekends and holidays. You will support staffing, frontline member service, scheduling, inventory, and daily financial metrics, while coaching a team of Member Services Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Current CPR Certification preferred.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Confident problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing gym operations to ensure a welcoming atmosphere and a financially successful club.
• Meet or exceed individual sales goals and support club monthly/yearly targets.
• Aid in recruiting, training and developing a high performing staff including Member Service Representatives, Trainers and Custodians.
• Ensure staff follow superior customer service guidelines and maintain a welcoming environment for members and guests.
• Provide backup support to Club Manager, schedule and supervise staff.
• Oversee front desk activities: answer phones, check-in members, sign-ups and tours.
• Support cleanliness and maintenance of facility and order supplies within budget.
• Track statistics and prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
