Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to lead the operation and maintenance of building systems at our Boston site. You will supervise technicians, coordinate preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and tenant satisfaction.

The schedule is 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with on-site presence required. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in repair/maintenance/HVAC/electrical or carpentry, with leadership experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Leadership and/or supervisory experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer in operation and maintenance of building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, fire protection).
• Supervise and direct contractors under the Chief Engineer’s direction.
• Assist in preventive maintenance program formulation and implementation.
• Train and supervise to expand the engineering team's capabilities.
• Maintain work orders, tenant service requests, and respond to emergencies.
