Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management in Raleigh, NC seeks a Chief Engineer to oversee facility function, safety, and the electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems. The role requires ensuring compliance with codes, brand standards, and operating 24/7 in a hotel environment.

You will supervise maintenance staff, manage budgets, coordinate capital projects, and liaise with city officials, insurance providers, and the General Manager to protect guests and assets.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of related engineering/maintenance experience.
• Minimum of three years of managerial responsibilities.
• Experience in hospitality industry preferred.
• Strong English communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct all facets of Engineering and ensure compliance with brand standards and regulations.
• Lead maintenance and safety of electrical, mechanical, life safety, and building systems.
• Manage staff, conduct performance reviews, training, and scheduling.
• Ensure preventative maintenance programs and asset protection.
• Coordinate with authorities for permits, inspections, and safety compliance.
• Develop capital projects and liaise withCorporate for asset tracking.
