Massachusetts Maritime Academy is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to oversee the safe and efficient operation of building systems and to lead the engineering team. The role supports the Chief Engineer in planning, maintenance, and staff development, with on-site presence required.

The position emphasizes preventive maintenance, strong customer service, and clear communication with tenants. Schedule is 7:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with on-site duties and safety compliance a constant

Formación

• 3-5 years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• On-site presence required; able to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Chief Engineer in operating and maintaining building systems across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, and building management systems.
• Supervise and direct contractors under the Chief Engineer’s direction.
