Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking an assistant general manager to oversee daily center operations when the General Manager is absent. You will lead a team to ensure excellent customer care and efficient service delivery.

The role emphasizes hands-on decision making, team coordination, and participation in U-Haul University training, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement at retail stores.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Leadership experience in any form.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations of center in General Manager’s absence.
• Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects.
• Manage and assign your team members to ensure that customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care.
• Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
