Job summary

Barnes & Noble College seeks an Assistant Store Manager to lead the campus store alongside the Store Manager, delivering an exceptional retail experience. You will develop teams, manage inventory, and drive sales while fostering campus relationships and campus community engagement.

You will oversee daily operations, coach staff, and execute company initiatives, ensuring high standards of service, merchandising, and safety across departments.

Qualifications

2–3 years of retail experience with leadership or supervisory roles.
Experience with merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
Proficiency with retail technology and POS systems; MS Office.

Responsibilities

Lead daily sales floor operations and coach team members.
Partner with Store Manager to oversee operations and drive initiatives.
Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and develop staff.
Develop relationships with customers and campus partners; resolve issues.
Ensure merchandising, inventory accuracy, and store presentation.
