Job summary

State Department Federal Credit Union in Arlington, VA seeks an Assistant Branch Sales Manager to lead staff, oversee daily branch operations, and drive member satisfaction and sales growth. You’ll supervise, coach, and ensure compliance with policies while supporting service excellence.

In this role you will manage staffing, participate in hiring, and act in the Branch Manager's absence, contributing to a positive member experience and branch performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years financial institution experience including member services, loan processing, sales, ATM balancing, and online systems.
• Associate's degree desired.
• Minimum one-year leadership/coaching experience in the financial industry.
• Knowledge of credit union rules, regulations, and policies preferred.
• Ability to meet service and sales goals with integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop branch staff to ensure high performance and growth.
• Coordinate daily operations, scheduling, cash control, vault security, audits, and internal controls.
• Assist staff in resolving complex member issues and perform account adjustments.
• Approve transactions and ensure policy compliance.
• Manage the branch independently in the absence of the Branch Manager.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, evaluation of staff and workload direction.
• Provide input for performance appraisals and update job descriptions.
