Job summary

Align Credit Union in Amesbury is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to oversee daily branch operations, implement Credit Union policies, and assist the Branch Manager and Head Teller in coaching staff to meet goals.

You will handle member needs, process loans and new accounts, supervise personnel, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain security controls while delivering friendly, professional service.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of banking or similar experience required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills desired.
• Attention to detail essential for accuracy and compliance.
• Strong understanding of branch operations, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Exercise administrative control over day-to-day branch functions and explain policies.
• Supervise staff including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
• Coach and motivate staff to achieve individual and branch goals.
• Oversee staffing, performance appraisals, promotions and salary recommendations.
• Ensure staff are trained in all job functions and security procedures.
• Attend to member needs including new accounts and loan processing; perform teller duties if necessary.
• Step in as Branch Manager in their absence and uphold audit guidelines.
