Job summary

UC Santa Barbara seeks an Assistant Classroom A/V Services Manager to lead Classroom A/V Services (CAVS), supervise three full-time career staff and up to 35 student staff, and manage 275 instructional spaces across campus. You will develop training, optimize workflows, and coordinate imaging, hardware, and software across Mac/PC platforms.

In collaboration with the CAVS Manager, you will implement efficient processes, supervise scheduling, and advise on computer replacement cycles, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related area or equivalent experience
• 4+ years in related area and/or equivalent experience
• 1+ years leading, supervising and coordinating the work of others
• 2+ years supporting hardware & software installation and troubleshooting
• 2+ years experience using deployment and management tools
• 2+ years experience in desktop and A/V support in a fast-paced helpdesk environment
• Evidence of strong interpersonal communications skills
• Proficient technical skills including Mac/PC, web development, online conferencing, multimedia and emerging technologies
• Demonstrated ability to manage technical staff
• Thorough knowledge of desktop and business/technical support systems

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations for Classroom A/V Services
• Supervises three full-time career staff and up to 35 student staff
• Hires, onboards and manages student staff, including training and payroll management
• Oversees equipment inventory and imaging across 275 instructional spaces
• Advises on replacement cycle for computers and related resources
• Establishes streamlined operational processes with the CAVS Manager
• Provides on-site and in-person staff supervision and support
