Job summary

University of California, Berkeley is seeking an AV Systems Operations Specialist to manage daily operations, reliability, and sustainment of AV, UC, and production technology across instructional and event spaces. The role reports to Facilities leadership and collaborates with engineering, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure scalable, high‑quality audiovisual services.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience supporting enterprise AV, UC, classroom technology, or production technology environments.
Experience creating technical documentation, SOPs, and operational processes.
Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder-support skills.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 2/3 operational and technical support for classrooms, lecture halls, conference rooms, and event spaces.
Troubleshoot and support Crestron-controlled environments, DM‑NVX and AV-over-IP systems, Zoom Rooms, PTZ cameras, DSP platforms (Q-SYS), and UC hardware platforms (Logitech).
Monitor and maintain AV/UC system health using Xyte Device Cloud, Zoom Admin Portal, Logitech Sync, Korbyt.
Develop SOPs, room documentation, escalation procedures, and operational workflows.
Support livestreaming, hybrid events, recordings, and production workflows.
