Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking an Asset Protection professional in the Los Angeles area to deter theft, support investigations, and protect store assets.

You will monitor for suspicious activity, document incidents, and collaborate with AP leadership and local law enforcement when needed. This role requires a valid security license in specified locations, the ability to make sound decisions under pressure, strong communication skills, and a calm, confidential approach.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft using sound judgment and policy-guided actions.
• Identify theft trends using technology and surveillance.
• Drive shrinkage reduction through action plans and standards.
• Support internal theft investigations with reporting and surveillance.
• Investigate internal theft with evidence gathering and partnerships.
• Use video systems to monitor theft and support investigations.
• Leverage RFID data to track merchandise movement for investigations.
• Maintain safety of customers and staff and escalate incidents.
• Lead shrinkage awareness and training within the store.
• Serve on the store Emergency Response Team and assist in training.
• Prepare reports for high-profile incidents and investigations.
• Testify in court when summoned.
• Build partnerships with store leaders, retailers, and law enforcement.
