Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking an Asset Protection Agent to safeguard customers, employees and merchandise while supporting store safety and loss-prevention goals. A typical day includes resolving theft, leveraging surveillance and RFID data, and driving inventories accuracy.

You will lead investigations, participate in store Emergency Response Team training, and prepare clear reports for high-profile incidents and investigations. State licensing requirements may apply where required.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft with sound judgment and enforce policy and AP guidance.
• Identify theft trends using technology, reporting and surveillance.
• Lead shrinkage reduction efforts and merchandise protection standards.
• Identify and support internal theft investigations through various methods.
• Investigate internal theft with evidence gathering and collaboration with AP leadership.
• Monitor theft activity via video systems and support investigations.
• Utilize RFID data to track merchandise movement and assist investigations.
• Maintain safety and security of customers and staff and report incidents.
• Lead security audits and shrinkage-awareness training within the store.
• Serve on the store Emergency Response Team (ERT) and participate in training.
• Prepare prompt and complete incident, investigation and policy-violation reports.
• Testify in court when summoned for cases.
• Build partnerships with store leaders, retailers, and local law enforcement.
