Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking an Asset Protection professional to safeguard customers, teams, and merchandise while supporting store safety initiatives. You will partner with the store Emergency Response Team to respond to incidents and conduct investigations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include identifying theft trends, implementing security standards, conducting surveillance, and preparing thorough incident reports. A valid security license may be required in certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft with sound judgement and compliant apprehensions.
• Identify theft trends using technology, reporting, and surveillance.
• Reduce shrinkage by executing action plans and protective standards.
• Support internal theft investigations with evidence gathering and cross-functional collaboration.
• Use video systems to monitor activity and aid investigations.
• Respond to and report store security and emergency incidents, including medical emergencies.
• Lead security audits and shrinkage awareness initiatives within the store.
• Participate in Emergency Response Team training and drills.
• Prepare complete incident reports for high-profile cases and recoveries.
• Testify in court when summoned for criminal or civil cases.
• Build partnerships with store leaders, retailers, and local law enforcement.
