Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking an Asset Protection Coordinator in Glendale, AZ. This hourly role reports to the Market Asset Protection Manager and focuses on reducing shrink, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a safe environment for staff and customers.

Responsibilities include training Outfitters on shrink and safety, investigating discrepancies, and promoting security best practices on the sales floor.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience conducting criminal or internal or related investigations
• Experience in using physical security systems (CCTV, EAS, etc.)
• Experience conducting quality reviews / audits
• Current AHA First Aid / CPR / AED certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists in driving training and continued development for all Outfitters on all shrink, safety, and security related functions within a store.
• Cascades as appropriate, all Asset Protection related directives and initiatives to store leadership and other Outfitters as required.
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service while on the floor interacting with customers.
• Identifies root causes of shrink through cycle counts, audits, known loss, and vendor opportunities.
• Uses data to review inventory adjustments and investigate discrepancies.
• Investigates over / short shipments with DC and Store for accuracy.
• Encourages commitment to asset protection programs with outfitters and vendors.
• Drives education to remove protected merchandise without payment at point of purchase.
• Maintains all security systems and merchandise protection standards.
• Monitors facility/property to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
• Conducts known loss investigations and reviews exception reports.
• Assists investigations into criminal activity, policy violations, and workplace incidents.
• Monitors criminal cases, may testify in court as warranted.
• May conduct information gathering and integrity interviews as assigned.
• Assists in firearms protocol investigations and compliance.
• Ensures systems are maintained and functioning properly.
• Promotes safety programs and participates in safety committees.
• Prepares detailed and timely reports.
• Obtains required certifications/licenses by law.
• All other duties as assigned
