Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Grand Junction, CO seeks an Asset Protection Coordinator to manage asset protection, safety, and compliance across the store. This hourly role reports to the Market Asset Protection Manager and supports shrink reduction and inventory accuracy.

The position requires a high school diploma with preferred degrees in Criminal Justice or Security management. Candidates should have security experience and be able to work on the sales floor; a uniform is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Preferred Degree: Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Certificate(s) or License(s): As required by local jurisdiction.
• Years of experience: Previous experience in security, asset protection, and safety preferred or Retail inventory background.

Responsibilities

• Assist in driving training on shrink, safety, and security.
• Cascades asset protection directives to store leadership and Outfitters.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and identify suspicious behavior on the floor.
• Analyze cycle counts, trailer audits, known loss, and vendor compliance opportunities.
• Investigate over/short shipments and reconcile inventory discrepancies between DC and store.
• Promote safety programs and ensure merchandise protection tools are used and paid for at point of sale.
• Prepare detailed and accurate reports in a timely manner.
