Job summary

Macy's Inc. is seeking an Asset Protection Detective to help protect customers, colleagues, and company assets while maintaining a safe shopping environment. You will identify suspicious activity, document findings, and support investigations using surveillance tools and reporting systems.

Collaborate with store teams and law enforcement to recover merchandise and reduce loss, applying de-escalation techniques and sound judgment every day.

Qualifications

• Retail security experience preferred.
• Ability to report clearly and accurately.
• For NY postings, a New York State Security Guard License is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify theft and shortage trends using surveillance and reporting systems.
• Support investigations with store teams and law enforcement.
• Apply de-escalation tools to maintain a safe environment.
• Prepare documentation, statements, and evidence for investigations and audits.
