Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking an Asset Coordinator to manage tool and equipment inventory and ensure timely shipping to job sites across projects.

You will collaborate with the Regional Asset Manager, coordinate asset transfers, supervise warehouse staff, perform regular physical counts, and implement efficient storage and tool control procedures with Iron Mountain. This role requires strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to adapt to project priorities while maintaining

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Inventory or Fleet Management experience in a construction environment.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Education beyond High School preferred).
• Thorough knowledge of equipment and tooling used in the construction and maintenance of overhead transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• Ability to communicate effectively, show initiative, and fit into a team environment.
• Solid mechanical/technical knowledge and computer skills.
• Ability to supervise a group of mechanics with evolving priorities.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Regional Asset Manager to support project equipment and tooling needs.
• Ensure field operations receive the correct assets promptly.
• Coordinate the delivery and transfer of equipment and tools.
• Track and monitor asset usage (equipment and tools).
• Analyze and develop logistics plans that may affect operations and tool inventory.
• Work with Project Managers and General Foreman to demobilize at the end of a project.
• Perform physical inventory of tools and transfer tools on/off projects.
• Ensure warehouse/equipment staging areas are organized and well maintained.
• Communicate and train staff on tool and equipment policies and procedures.
• Coordinate tool transfers, repairs, obsolescence, and leasing with Iron Mountain.
• Perform warehouse duties such as unloading/loading trucks, stocking shelves, and operating a forklift.
