Job summary

Atlas Copco Group’s Edwards Genesee facility seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader – Assembly & Test to guide a 10‑engineer team through the transfer and ramp‑up of assembly & test operations. You will partner with production, quality, and supply chain to meet targets, timelines, and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a strong background in manufacturing engineering, lean and Six Sigma, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• HS Degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering with 1–3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in assembly & test operations.
• Experience with greenfield site startups or large-scale transfers desirable.
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt preferred), and process optimization.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of manufacturing engineers (10).
• Oversee equipment and process transfers from an existing site to Genesee.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ramp production over 12 months.
• Develop and implement manufacturing strategies for assembly & test operations.
• Establish and manage a machine maintenance program to ensure reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean methodologies.
• Monitor KPIs such as production output and defect rates.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
• Travel up to 10% in the first 6-9 months.
