Job summary

Atlas Copco Edwards Vacuum in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader to guide a team of engineers as we transfer high-precision machining and ramp up production at the Genesee facility. You will coordinate equipment, processes, and personnel to deliver operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering with 5+ years in manufacturing engineering and leadership, plus experience with CNC, lean, and Six

Qualifications

• Requires HS Diploma; Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering with 1–3 years in a leadership role overseeing engineering teams.
• Proven expertise in high-precision machining (CNC, milling, turning).
• Experience with greenfield site startups or large-scale process/equipment transfers is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of manufacturing engineers to drive production ramp-up.
• Oversee equipment and process transfers from an existing site to the Genesee facility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth ramp-up of production capacity over 12 months.
• Develop and implement manufacturing strategies for high-precision machining to meet targets.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean and Six Sigma principles.
