Standard Job Description

As the Assembly Inspector you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections throughout all phases of assembly and manufacturing, documenting findings, and upholding strict quality standards.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Perform inspections of assembled and purchased parts to verify conformity to specifications, standards, and processing requirements.
• Accurately document any errors, discrepancies, or non-conformances in a clear, legible manner and maintain inspection records.
• Utilize basic measuring equipment, blueprint interpretation, and computer tools to confirm proper identification, dimensions, and workmanship acceptance criteria.
• Follow all safety procedures and precautions to protect equipment, materials, and personnel, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Participate in internal and external audits and keep the work area neat, orderly, and safe.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprint, work instructions and interpret engineering drawing requirements
• Basic computing literacy is required
• 1 year, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, with both internal and external customers
• Experience working successfully in a team environment
• Must be able to support a flexible work schedule supporting overtime, off-Fridays, weekends, and/or alternate shifts to support product schedules as required
• Must have IPC certification, or ability to obtain certification
• Must be able to pass visual acuity and color perception exam
• Must be a US Citizen

Desired Skills

• Previous Mechanical and/or Electrical inspection experience.
• Experience working in various assembly areas and/or previous inspection experience.
• Experience inspecting electrical components and/or printed wiring boards.
• Experience/Knowledge working on cabinet assemblies and/or piece parts.
• Knowledge of MIL standards.
• Demonstrated computer skills areas of LM tools including SAP, Apriso, Command Media, PAL and Windchill.

Pay Information

Pay rate for this position is $25.10 - $25.10 per hour.

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
