Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a mechanical inspector to verify parts and assemblies meet contractual requirements through first article, in-process, and final inspections. You will document defects, support root cause analysis, and ensure adherence to applicable policies while working with PC-based defect reporting tools.

Qualifications include reading detailed drawings and military specifications, proficiency with precision measuring tools, and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret detailed Drawings, Wire Connection Lists, and Military Specifications.
  • Proficient in the use of hand precision measuring tools.
  • Identify and disposition non conforming material.
  • Understand and identify workmanship deviations from requirements.
  • Familiarity with defect reporting PC based applications.
  • US citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

Standard Job Description
Ensure the compliance of parts and assemblies to contractual requirements by performing first article, in process and final mechanical inspection through the use of drawings, processes, wire connection lists, mil specs and work instructions in conjunction with hand tools and measuring equipment. Properly document and disposition defects found during mechanical inspections and communicate results to the responsible activities for use in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Familiarity with the use of PC based applications used in defect reporting. Interpret and execute working level policies and procedures to ensure contractual and ethical compliance. Assist in the identification, documentation, control and disposition of non conforming material. Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. May be requested to climb to perform their job responsibilities.

US citizenship is required.
