Lockheed Martin in Archbald, Pennsylvania is seeking an Assembly Inspector to join the Inspection Team. You will inspect subcontracted, purchased, and in-house parts, interpret blueprints, and ensure dimensional accuracy across all assembly and manufacturing stages.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience or equivalent with specialized training.
• Must read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficient computing literacy.
• Experience using micrometers, gauges, and calipers.
• Team-oriented with ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Able to support flexible scheduling including overtime and weekends.
• IPC certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
• Ability to obtain a Government Secret security clearance.

• Perform thorough inspections of subcontracted, purchased, and in‑house parts using measuring equipment and basic computing tools.
• Accurately document inspection results, discrepancies, and corrective actions while maintaining organized records.
• Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and acceptance criteria to ensure proper identification, dimensions, and workmanship.
• Train and mentor new personnel on inspection procedures and best practices.
• Participate in internal and external audits, providing required documentation and support.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks.
• Must be able to read blueprint, work instructions and interpret engineering drawing requirements.
• Proficient computing literacy.
• Demonstrated ability to use basic measuring devices such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers.
• Experience working successfully in a team environment.
• Must be able to support a flexible work schedule supporting overtime, off-Fridays, weekends, and/or alternate shifts to support product schedules as required.
• Must have IPC certification, or ability to obtain certification.
• Must be able to pass visual acuity and color perception exam.
• Must be able to obtain a Government Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills

• Previous Mechanical and/or Electrical inspection experience.
• Experience working in various assembly areas and/or previous inspection experience.
• Experience inspecting electrical components and/or printed wiring boards.
• Experience/Knowledge working on cabinet assemblies and/or piece parts.
• Knowledge of MIL standards.
• Demonstrated computer skills areas of LM tools including SAP, Apriso, Command Media, PAL and Windchill.

Pay Information

Pay rate for this position is $25.10 - $25.10 per hour.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
