Job summary

Dover Food Retail in South Chesterfield, VA is seeking an Assembler I responsible for programming, operating, and basic troubleshooting for automated and/or robotic machinery in the production of sheet metal refrigerated cases.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED, prior manufacturing experience preferred, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. You will read work orders, identify parts, measure with rulers, and assemble components at multiple stations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a recurring basis.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an “A” order.
• Identify parts on the product line and their locations.
• Identify power and hand tools used on the line.
• Read and comprehend the work order.
• Assemble components using hand or power tools.
• Identify parts using work order information.
• Use material gauging and measurement instruments.
• Read rulers, tape measures, squares, etc.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets, or clips.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Collaborate in an assembly team to complete units.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
