Job summary

Spectra-Tech Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking applicants for a hands-on assembler role in a climate-controlled facility. You will perform precise post-surface mount board assembly by following detailed instructions and BOM references.

Training is provided, with emphasis on quality and process adherence. Responsibilities include reading component values, orientations, and wiring diagrams; identifying part numbers from BOM; and ensuring correct placement of thru-hole components.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prefer experience with production assembly; Spectra-Tech will train as needed.
• Basic understanding of IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and utilize a BOM to identify customer part numbers for assembly.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand assembly work on post-surface mount circuit boards by following detailed written work instructions.
• Identify and read the values, polarity and orientation of thru-hole components (Capacitors, Resistors, Transistors, ICs).
• Identify orientation and polarity of components in reference to the PCB for thru-hole parts.
• Verify thru-hole part values and correct part location placement.
• Utilize basic equipment to complete final assembly and perform other duties as assigned.

Off work EVERY FRIDAY at NOON!

Hours: M-Th 6:00am - 3:15pm, Fr 6:00am - 12:00 pm

Starting Pay: $17.00/hr. and up based on experience

Description

Perform hand assembly work on post-surface mount circuit boards by following detailed written work instructions.

• Identify and read the values, polarity and orientation of thru-hole components I.E.) Capacitors, Resistors, Transistors, IC’s etc.
• Identify the orientation and polarity of components in reference to the printed circuit board for thru-hole.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and utilize a Bill of Materials to identify customer part numbers for assembly.
• Verify thru-hole part values and correct part location placement.
• Basic understanding of the IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards.
• Utilize basic equipment necessary to complete the product’s final assembly, including hot glue, clipping, masking, etc., as needed.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements

Work is performed in a climate controlled manufacturing environment with frequent contact with others. Job requires prolonged sitting,standing and frequent bending, stooping and stretching. Manual dexterity is crucial in the placement and handling of thru-hole components. Good eyesight is necessary for identifying components and there placement. Occasional light lifting will be required.
