Job summary

Spectra-Tech Manufacturing Inc. is seeking an assembler to perform hand assembly on post-surface mount circuit boards, following detailed written work instructions.

You will identify values, polarity, and orientation of thru-hole components, read assembly drawings, and follow IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards with on-the-job training.

Hours: 6:00am-3:15pm Monday-Thursday and 6:00am-12:00pm Friday; Starting pay: $19.00/hr with a $500 hiring/retention bonus and a $100/month attendance bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preference for prior production assembly experience.
• Willingness to be trained by Spectra-Tech.

Responsibilities

• Read assembly drawings to identify part numbers.

• Operate basic and specialized production equipment.
• Assist in training of other assemblers.

Summary

Perform hand assembly work on post-surface mount circuit boards by following detailed written work instructions.

Responsibilities/ Principal Duties

• Identify and read values, polarity, and orientation of thru-hole components.
• Identify orientation and polarity of components according to the printed circuit board for thru-hole.
• Ability to read assembly drawings to identify part numbers for assembly.
• Basic understanding of the IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards.
• Utilize basic equipment.
• Utilize specialized equipment and/or machines as specified by management.
• Assist in the training of other assemblers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

prefer experience with production assembly process – Spectra-Tech will train as needed.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent contact with others. Job requires prolonged sitting, standing and frequent bending, stooping, and stretching. Manual dexterity is crucial in the placement and handling of thru-hole components. Good eyesight is necessary for identifying components and their placement. Occasional light lifting will be required.

Waiver

This position may be filled by an applicant without meeting all qualifications with Ownership Group review and approval.

Equipment

Training will be given in the use of production equipment.

Work Environment

Job functions will be performed in and around production.

Internal Contacts

This position will interface with all areas of the manufacturing workforce and management team.
