Job summary

Spectra-Tech Manufacturing, Inc. is hiring a hand assembler to build post-surface mount circuit boards following detailed work instructions in a manufacturing setting.

You will read values and orientation of thru-hole components, interpret assembly drawings, and work toward IPC-A-610 Class 2 compliance. Training is provided; starting pay is $19.00/hour, plus a $500 signing bonus and a $100/month attendance bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prefer experience with production assembly; Spectra-Tech will train as needed.
• Able to read assembly drawings and component values.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand assembly on post-surface mount boards per written instructions.
• Identify and read values, polarity, and orientation of thru-hole components.
• Identify orientation and polarity of components according to the PCB for thru-hole.
• Read assembly drawings to identify part numbers for assembly.
• Follow IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards.
• Utilize equipment and/or machines as directed by management.
• Assist in training other assemblers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Hours: 6:00am-3:15pm M-Th, 6:00am-12:00pm Fri

Starting Pay: $19.00/hr.

Summary

Physical/Cognitive Requirements

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent contact with others. Job requires prolonged sitting, standing and frequent bending, stooping, and stretching. Manual dexterity is crucial in the placement and handling of thru-hole components. Good eyesight is necessary for identifying components and their placement. Occasional light lifting will be required.

Waiver

This position may be filled by an applicant without meeting allqualifications with Ownership Group review and approval.

Equipment

Training will be given in the use of production equipment.

Work Environment

Job functions will be performed in and around production.

Internal Contacts

This position will interface with all areas of the manufacturing workforce and management team.
