Cardinal Health is seeking an Operations Maintenance Specialist to oversee and maintain AutoStore (AS) and SLAM systems at our automated facilities. The role requires hands-on maintenance, part inventory management, and collaboration with contractors to keep ASRS and distribution equipment operational.

You'll monitor robotics, conveyors, and electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance via CMMS, and implement reliability-based practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with commercial operating systems and general maintenance procedures.
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 2+ years of work order management.
• Experience with electrical and electronic principles and industrial electronics.
• Able to become PSI SLAM Line and Swisslog Supper User; move robots and bins; diagnose and resolve system issues using Autostore portal.
• Make repairs and adjustments to system (robots, ports) using Autostore portal.
• Open tickets with PSI and Swisslog global helpdesk and troubleshoot issues.
• Experience with Java, Microsoft, and C++.
• High familiarity with Autostore Console (ASC).

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and maintaining operational readiness of the AutoStore (AS) and SLAM at our fully automated locations.
• Inventory and account for repair parts for the AS and SLAM.
• Ordering repair parts for the AS and SLAM as they are consumed.
• Protecting and improving the value of Cardinal’s assets and ensuring that ASRS and all supply line distribution equipment and systems including PSI, continue to perform their intended functions.
• Implementing and managing the reliability-based maintenance function with inspections and best practices.
• Monitoring operation and maintaining ASRS equipment; robots, conveyors, and other mechanical and electrical equipment; report malfunctions as needed.
• Performing preventive maintenance tasks per manufacturing standards using a CMMS.
• Overseeing repairs and PMs of ASRS equipment per manufacturer recommendations and warranty.
• Ensuring availability of tools and supplies to operate the ASRS and associated automation, including PSI.
• Overseeing contractor activities, demonstrations, or training within the ASRS distribution work and SLAM line.
