Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking an Automation Technician I to maintain and troubleshoot our Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) and related equipment at Kenco Fleet Services. You will work with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve reliability, safety, and throughput.

The role requires problem-solving skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, G.E.D. or tech school graduate required.
• 0 – 2 years of mechanic experience; preferably with repair and maintenance of automated systems and conveyors.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems on multiple types of equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to quickly diagnose and resolve issues.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical team members.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Self‑motivated, self‑directed, highly responsible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on ASRS and related automation equipment.
• Work in elevated areas using fall protection equipment per OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with operations to optimize ASRS performance for efficiency and throughput.
• Maintain parts inventory and repair records with accurate paperwork.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance documentation; monitor maintenance checklists.
