Job summary
United States Cold Storage Inc is seeking an Automation Technician I to support an automated material handling system. This hourly role focuses on ensuring ASRS and automation components operate efficiently, diagnosing and resolving errors, and maintaining data integrity in WMS/WCS/PLC communications.
The candidate will monitor WCS interfaces, troubleshoot errors, perform preventative maintenance, and participate in continuous improvement teams.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; advanced technical training or certificate preferred.
- Experience with WMS/WCS systems and PLCs is desirable.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and automation systems and work across IT and physical layers.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and diagnose faults in automation equipment; clear machine faults per SOPs.
- Troubleshoot WMS/WCS interfaces to resolve errors in the automated warehouse.
- Support maintenance tasks and preventative maintenance on automation equipment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse automation.
- Escalate outages and coordinate with operations, automation provider, and USCS specialists.
