Job summary

WSP is seeking an Early Career Mechanical Engineer for our Columbia, MD office, starting in Summer 2027. You will contribute to the Property & Buildings Team, assisting in mechanical design, development, testing, and inspection of systems for infrastructure and building projects.

Responsibilities include data collection, site inspections, basic design support, and documentation. You will work under supervision and gain exposure to Revit, AutoCAD, and CAM as part of a growing multidisciplinary

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
0–1 year of post-education experience.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Familiarity with design/build concepts and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Assist with data collection and analysis from work sites and drawings for project development.
Support basic professional mechanical engineering tasks and site condition inspections.
Perform routine design calculations and help develop operating strategies.
Generate documentation and specifications using electronic systems and logs.
Adhere to safety guidelines and project procedures.
Complete training on assigned tasks and participate in project needs.
