Job summary

WSP is seeking an Early Career Mechanical Engineer for our Minneapolis, MN office to support the design, development, and inspection of mechanical systems on infrastructure, building, and construction projects.

You will work under supervision to collect data, perform basic calculations, prepare documentation, and assist with site surveys, drawings, and compliance. Opportunity to grow in a collaborative team and gain hands-on experience in AutoCAD/CAM and building services.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
0 to 1 years of relevant post-education experience.
Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.
Familiarity with design/build concepts and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, collect, compile, and analyze data from sites, surveys, drawings, and reports for project development.
Assist with basic professional mechanical engineering work related to research and inspections of site conditions and systems.
Perform routine engineering functions and provide entry-level support on design requirements and load calculations.
Verify site characteristics and provide technical assistance on engineering and construction issues.
Generate documentation and specifications using electronic systems and field logs.
Comply with safety guidelines and site procedures.
