Job summary

WSP is seeking a Full-Time Early Career Mechanical Engineer for our York, PA office starting Summer 2027. You'll join the Property & Buildings Team and contribute to design, development, testing, and inspection of mechanical systems on infrastructure, building, and construction projects.

Under supervision, you will gather data, assist with design tasks, prepare documentation, and help ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
0 to 1 year post-education experience.
Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.
Familiar with design/build processes.
Familiar with mechanical systems, codes, regulations, and compliance.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Detail-oriented with multitasking in a dynamic environment.
Ability to work with discipline-specific design software.
Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from site, surveys, blueprints, schematics, and other sources.
Assist with basic professional mechanical engineering work related to site conditions and conformance.
Provide entry-level technical assistance on design requirements and load calculations.
Verify site characteristics and provide technical assistance on engineering issues.
Generate documentation and specifications using electronic systems and logs.
Comply with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures.
Complete training on assigned tasks.
Adhere to Code of Conduct and company policies.
Perform additional responsibilities as required.
