Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Texas is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT). You will partner with the Club Manager to lead daily operations across key departments, drive performance, and develop talent through structured training and certification programs.

The role includes acting as Manager on Duty, ensuring GOLD standards, food safety, labor planning, and strong member engagement. A valid ServSafe certification is required and must be maintained.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership capabilities and the ability to manage large teams.
• Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of delivering results.
• Solid understanding of store operations, merchandising, customer service and inventory processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership across Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience.
• Recruit, hire and onboard team members and ensure certification/compliance.
• Oversee labor planning and scheduling to meet budgeted targets.
• Drive sales, inventory control and shrink management while maintaining service standards.
• Maintain safety, food-safety compliance, and continuous improvement in club operations.
