Job summary

The Buckle, Inc. in Council Bluffs, IA seeks an Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager to partner with the Store Manager and Leadership Team.

The role blends sales, merchandising and operational tasks while training Teammates and stepping in for leadership when needed. Responsibilities include coaching teammates, driving guest service, leading merchandising initiatives and supporting loss prevention and store performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months retail experience or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and train teammates and adapt to store needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet Guests and provide legendary service.
• Assist in recruitment, training and development of Teammates.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and sales education to drive results.
• Lead visual merchandising and maintain standards across the sales floor.
• Support store operations, including opening/closing, POS use, and loss prevention.
• Collaborate with Store Manager and Leadership Team to meet sales goals and guest satisfaction.
