Job summary

Sunrock is seeking an Asphalt Production Supervisor to oversee asphalt production, quality control, and safety at the Durham location. The role includes monitoring daily operations, coordinating maintenance, and guiding the production team to meet performance targets.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED with 1–2 years of related experience, the ability to read and write technical English, and a valid NC driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; AA or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of related experience and/or training; other combinations may be considered.
• Current North Carolina Driver’s License required and ability to obtain weighmaster license.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret English in business contexts; write reports and procedures in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily asphalt production, quality control, maintenance, and safety for the assigned location.
• Monitor and manage personnel and safety practices; ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and DOT guidelines.
• Be proficient with plant controls (Astec Weighmate TC 2000; PM2/PM3) and Integra system for dispatch.
• Schedule inspections and maintenance; plan and execute preventive maintenance.
• Mentor staff and support hiring, training, and team development as needed.
• Provide leadership and coordinate with other company functions to achieve goals.
