Job summary

Sunrock is seeking an Asphalt Production Supervisor to oversee asphalt production at the Zebulon location. The role manages daily production, quality control, maintenance, safety, and plant personnel, with exposure to unscheduled maintenance and occasional travel up to 10%.

The position requires flexibility across shifts including days, nights, and weekends. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, NC driver’s license, and ability to obtain weighmaster license; associate degree

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred; 1–2 years related experience.
• Current North Carolina Driver’s License required; ability to obtain weighmaster license.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret technical and business English; strong math and PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in batching sequence and controls (Astec Weighmate TC 2000; PM2/3 Systems).
• Dispatch asphalt and aggregates in Integra system.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly site and equipment inspections.
• Schedule regular plant maintenance and address minor/major repairs.
• Ensure environmental and safety compliance (OSHA, MSHA); report deficiencies.
• Mentor and develop employees; assist in hiring/training as needed.
• Coordinate with other functions to ensure efficient operation.
