Job summary

Amrize is hiring a General Laborer for its Asphalt division in the Maryland area. You will support paving crews with site prep, material handling, and cleanup to keep operations efficient and safe.

Responsibilities include hand-grading, raking, and assisting with heavy equipment under supervision, while adhering to plans and safety rules. Ideal candidates are reliable, punctual, and team-oriented, with a willingness to learn and grow in heavy paving operations across PG County and Anne Arundel

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior construction/ paving or general labor is a plus but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions, plans, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist asphalt crew with loading, unloading, and transporting materials to job sites.
• Perform site prep, cleanup, and support for paving operations.
• Hand-grade and rake asphalt under supervision to help achieve correct slope.
• Maintain tools and work areas in clean, organized condition.
• Follow project plans and safety procedures at all times.
• Communicate with supervisors and crew to meet daily production goals.
