Job summary

Amrize, a leading supplier of construction materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a General Laborer in our Asphalt division. The role supports paving crews with site prep, material handling, and cleanup to keep operations safe and efficient.

You will hand-grade, rake, and assist operators, travel daily across PG County and Anne Arundel County, and learn heavy equipment under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1+ years of hands-on experience in the Asphalt industry.
• Daily travel required, must have reliable transportation.
• Physically able to perform demanding outdoor work and lift up to required weights.

Responsibilities

• Assist asphalt crew with loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment to job sites across PG County and Anne Arundel County.
• Perform manual labor tasks including site preparation, cleanup, and support for paving operations.
• Support paver, roller, and lute operators to ensure smooth workflow and quality asphalt placement.
• Hand-grade and rake asphalt under supervision to help achieve proper grade and slope.
• Follow project plans, instructions, and safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and organized condition.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to complete daily production goals.
• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies.
