Amrize is hiring a General Laborer in the Asphalt division to support paving crews with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup across PG County and Anne Arundel County. The role involves hand-grading, raking, and assisting operators under supervision while adhering to safety procedures and project plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in the asphalt industry.
• Travel required daily to PG County and Anne Arundel County.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to high-quality workmanship.
• Willingness to work on job sites throughout PG County and Anne Arundel County.
• Ability to follow instructions, project plans and safety procedures.
• Team-oriented with good communication to work with crew.
• Prior experience in construction or paving is a plus but not required.
• Strong work ethic and proactive attitude towards safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist asphalt crew with loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment to job sites.
• Perform manual labor tasks including site preparation, cleanup, and paving support.
• Support paver, roller, and lute operators to ensure smooth workflow and quality asphalt placement.
• Hand-grade and rake asphalt under supervision to maintain proper grade and slope.
• Follow project plans and safety protocols at all times.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean, organized condition.
• Learn operation of heavy paving equipment under supervision for growth.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew to meet daily production goals.
• Promote safety and environmental policies across all work areas.
