Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a General Laborer for our Asphalt division in Maryland. You will support paving crews with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup to ensure safe, efficient operations on multiple county sites.

The role requires 1+ years in asphalt or related construction, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to travel daily with reliable transportation. Safety adherence and teamwork are essential for daily production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1+ years of hands-on asphalt experience or similar construction work.
• Daily travel required and reliable transportation.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and project plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist asphalt crew with loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment to job sites.
• Perform manual labor for site preparation, cleanup and paving support.
• Support paver, roller, and lute operators to ensure smooth workflow and quality asphalt placement.
• Hand-grade and rake asphalt under supervision to maintain proper grade and slope.
• Follow project plans, safety protocols, and maintain clean equipment and work areas.
