Job summary

Soliant is seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to support deaf and hard-of-hearing students and staff in a school setting. This full-time contract position starts as soon as possible and runs through the academic year.

You will provide accurate ASL-English interpretation, collaborate with teachers and specialists, and help implement IEP-related communication goals while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be certified Sign Language Interpreter (SLI).
• Experience in school settings preferred.
• Familiarity with IEP processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation services for deaf and hard-of-hearing students and staff.
• Collaborate with teachers and education professionals to facilitate communication.
• Adapt interpreting methods based on individual student needs and learning environments.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional conduct.
• Assist in development/review of educational plans for students needing sign language services.
