Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter to support deaf and hard-of-hearing students in a dynamic Alabama school setting. You will translate classroom instruction and participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators, families, and staff to ensure access and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) with interpretation experience across age groups.
• Certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) or equivalent credential.
• Experience interpreting in educational settings is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interpret classroom instruction and discussions to provide access for deaf students.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to identify student needs and supports.
• Contribute to IEP meetings and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Support students during assemblies, field trips, and events.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all records and interactions.
