Job summary

Propio Language Services, founded in 1998, connects people through language solutions and supports 350+ languages worldwide. We are seeking American Sign Language Onsite Contract Interpreters for the Cincinnati, Ohio area to provide accurate interpretation for onsite and remote assignments.

Contractors must be 18+, hold ASL certifications (RID/EIPA/BEI) and licenses where required, and be able to travel to assignments. Background checks and health requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Professional proficiency in English and American Sign Language.
• Ability to accurately provide interpretation between English and American Sign Language.
• State-specific ASL interpreting license where applicable.
• Submission of a current résumé in English during the application process.
• Basic computer and technology proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and American Sign Language during onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable.
• Follow interpreter protocols and client requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy, security, and data-protection requirements (HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA).
• Maintain professional interactions with clients and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain language proficiency and subject-matter knowledge for assignments.
